Independence Day

Lady LRD Public School primary children came up with great craft ideas to celebrate  Independence Day. Students from classes I to V brought out their imagination and creativity crafting wonderful crafts. They crafted flowers, badges, little flags and other articles using the tri-colours.
These skills are sure to foster their motor skills, nurture new ideas as well as develop their focus on any task. What better way to celebrate Independence than to encourage their self-expression, boost their sense of achievement, the school said

Visit to Zoo

An educational trip to the zoo was organized at Lady LRD Public School for the students of classes I-V on 28 November,2021 to promote awareness and to expose the children to the world of amazing animals and birds.They saw a variety of animals and were fascinated by the beauty of the nature. It was an enriching and learning experience for the students

Students were delighted to see wide varieties of flora and fauna. The excursion proved out to be an outdoor classroom for the students as they were able to accommodate and assimilate knowledge.

Show and Tell

Lady LRD Public School organized Show and Tell Activity on 24th November 2021 to strengthen the verbal skills and to foster public speaking competency of the young minds.

The students of grade Nursery participated in this activity which helped them to build their self-confidence and self-esteem. It enabled them to improve their descriptive skills by communicating feelings, thoughts and emotions with words.

Special Assembly

Lady LRD Public School observed the martyrdom day of the Ninth Guru Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur with great piousness and serenity. In the morning assembly the students were apprised about the life events of the Guru followed by melodious ”shabad gayan”.
Students gave tributes to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, one of the greatest Sikh gurus who was a saviour for millions, on his Martyrdom Day.

A day marking childhood, Children’s Day celebrations focus on children and their enjoyment. Not only an eminent figure and national leader, Nehru loved children and spend quite a lot of time with them.
The celebrations began with the Morning Prayer, followed by variety of fun filled activities and games planned by the teachers for their children. The teachers made Children’s Day special for their children by involving them into various games like cup stacking, Book balancing, thow the ball etc. All the children were given muffins and some valuable gifts as a token of love from their teachers. Teachers organize different cultural programs and events for students. Children participate in various activities, such as singing, dancing, painting, drawing, quizzes, speeches, and so on. The winning students are rewarded generously.

Diwali Celebrations

Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated in various regions across India. The name ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights’. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, Lady LRD Public School had a celebration in school. Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Children decorated diyas with colors and glitter.
Both Teachers and students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly. To mark Diwali celebrations, the school organised various activities and competitions. Various competitons, including ‘diya’ and ‘thali’ decoration, gift packing, paper lamp-making and rangoli competitions were held. Along with this, poem recitation and speech competitions were also organised to aware the students about green Diwali.

United Nations Day

Every 24 October, the United Nations Day is celebrated all over the world to commemorate the anniversary of the official creation of the United Nations through the 1945 UN Charter.
The significance of United Nations Day lies in its celebration of diversity.
Lady LRD believes that we must make peace with nature. Despite the travel restrictions and economic shutdowns, climate change is not on pause. What we need is a green and sustainable global economy that produces jobs, reduces emissions, and builds resilience to climate impacts. Thus poster making on sustainable development was organised in school and students speak about the importance of United Nation day.

Dussehra Celebrations

Keeping the festive spirit alive,Dussehra was celebrated at Lady LRD Public School. Various activities including speeches on Dussehra,Poetic Ramayana and a dandia dance,thali decoration glorified the occasion. To mark Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil,the effigy of Ravana was burnt.

Abacus Activity

A Polo Mint Abacus activity was conducted in Grade 1 to offer our students hands-on experience to get started at learning math.
The activity focused to encourage creativity and artistic ability of students. Children developed and enhanced their number aptitude, concentration, self-confidence, logical understanding and analytical skills using physical device to mental drills and creative visualization.

Poetry Recitation

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words” -Robert Frost
Poems always give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of the physical world. A Recitation Competition was organized for the Grade UKG. This competition was organized to explore and encourage the speaking skills and confidence in children. It inspired children to come forward and recite a poem for the teachers and their classmates.
Recitation activities help students to build confidence as they learn to speak more accurately and persuasively about any piece of writing. English poem recitation competition was organised in Lady LRD PUblic School. Children astonished everyone with their voice modulation and amazing memorizing skills.

Gandhi Jayanti

Various events were organised by the Lady LRD school to celebrated the Gandhi Jayanti on the 2nd of October. Students enthusiastically took part in the Gandhi Jayanti event celebrations. Students sang song based on the truth and non-violence message of Bapu. They recited poems and presented their own sights on Gandhian philosophy. Small children celebrated this event by dressing up the same as the Gandhi Ji as well as performing nationalistic songs.

Poster Making

World Heart Day 2021 theme is ‘Harnessing the power of digital health to improve awareness, prevention and management of CVD globally’. This theme will help in encouraging the adoption of a healthy lifestyle and healthy eating habits.
Poster making competition was held in the school campus to make people aware about the importance of heart health.

Handprint Painting

Kids explore their surroundings with fingers and hands, often getting into everything within reach. A finger painting activity is a great way to encourage some hands-on discovery with the added benefit of fine motor and sensory play.
Kids love the bright colors and the feel of the paint on their hands. They love making swirling motions in the paint to observe the resulting shapes and designs.

Teachers Day

Every year on September 5, the country celebrates National Teachers’ Day to celebrate the teachers in our lives and express our gratitude for their guidance and influence. This day celebrates all the gurus who played a significant role in shaping who we are as people and taught us everything about this world.
“A teacher encourages the pupils to flap their wings and soar high, instil confidence in them to tread on unchartered paths.” Teacher’s Day was celebrated in Lady LRD school. Students made beautiful cards for their teachers.

Spell Bee

Language plays an important role in all round development of a student. Appropriate words with correct spelling conveys right message.

“Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters.”

The Spell Bee Competition is conducted to give students a platform to learn spellings in different ways, enrich their vocabulary, learn concepts and develop the use of correct English.

Janamashtmi

At Lady LRD, Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated by the staff and students of Pre-Primary and primary. Janmashtami is celebrated as a symbol of the end of darkness and rooting out of the evil forces.
Children came dressed in ethnic wear as Radha and Krishna. The presentation depicted the varied images of life from birth to manhood transporting one to the world of splendour, colour, myth and legend. It was a beautiful presentation with joyous melody and twirling dancers. On the occasion of Janamashtmi splendidly colorful program was organized by the children and staff of the school; where students presented songs, dance performances and a short role play. An awareness on Janmashtami, the mythological stories on Krishna, Radha, Kansh – through plays and narrations; were presented to the children. Students of Lady LRD Public School (Grade 3) presented play to depict a scene from the Krishna leela. They looked adorable dressed as Krishna , Radha and the Gopis. The scene they presented was of Krishna answering Narad’s question.

Raksha Bandan

The bonding between a brother and a sister is simply unique and is beyond description in words. The relationship between siblings is extraordinary and is given importance in every part of the world. Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi is a special occasion to celebrate this emotional bonding.

Here at Lady LRD Public School, Rakshabandhan was celebrated with lots of love and happiness. The new age Raksha bandhan emphasises both sisters and brothers protecting, helping and loving each other for a better tomorrow.

Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. To strengthen this bond, Lady LRD Public School conducted a ‘Rakhi –making’ competition. Students from all classes participated in the competition and made colourful rakhi’s. They used decorative threads, stars, mirrors, pearls and flowers for making beautiful rakhi’s.

Understanding Olympic symbol

The Olympic symbol comprises five rings of five different colours- blue, yellow, black, green and red. The rings symbolise the union of the five continents, the participation of the athletes at these Games and express the activity of the Olympic movement.

The five-coloured rings represent the five inhabited continents of the world. These are- Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania.

Multigrain Artwork

This activity allows children to learn about whole grains . They understand that our body need foods that give us proper nutrition and provide us energy to run, think and play!
Students made beautiful patterns out of grains and enhanced their creativity as well as develop motor skills.

Green Day celebrations

“The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.”

Trees and forests play a very crucial role in maintaining an ecological balance and providing oxygen to human beings on the planet. The Van Mahotsav week is a reminder that we must protect forests and stop deforestation and practice the 3R rule- Reduce, reuse and recycle.students were taught the identification and recognition of green fruits, vegetables, leaves and trees. Many activities and games pertaining to green colour were organised for the kids .
